Company History

In 1962 Simpson Construction Ltd. was founded by Gordon C. Simpson. Gordon was a dedicated business owner and a father of three. In 1971, Winston E. White joined the firm as Project Manager and Estimator. After 22 years of hard work, White assumed control of the company in 1993 upon Mr. Simpsonís retirement and eventually changed the company to Simpson Building Contractors Ltd., which now performs the same functions as Simpson Construction Ltd. Today, Mr White acts as Company President and the Simpson Team Leader.
 
Over the years the Company has evolved from a modest building contractor that exclusively performed lump sum hard tender contracts of which 90% were government funded, to todayís diversified company. Contracts today are a mixture of design/build, Steelway pre-engineered metal buildings and up-scale renovations/additions. However, the company is still very active and one of the most competitive in the hard tender, lump sum building sector of the market.

 

Our Company Today

Today, Simpson is primarily a General Contractor who often perform their own civil work. They maintain their own carpenters, labourers, concrete form system, and excavation equipment such as excavators, back-hoe, skid steers, compactors, generators, etc., which adds to their ability to provide competitive pricing.
 

Simpson works exclusively in the province of New Brunswick and has a thorough knowledge of the local construction market. Simpson offers a wide variety of construction services and several contract methods. Each project receives professional dedication and quality related benefits. From high tech estimating and quality management to post construction services and strategic alliances, each project is managed with care and respect.
 
Simpson focuses on commercial, industrial and institutional construction. Over the years, Simpson has broadened their industry experience by constructing a wide variety of buildings such as movie theatres, office buildings, schools, multiple residential complexes, restaurants, call centres, distribution warehouses, apartment buildings, hotels, hospitals, airports, high-tech business parks, auto dealerships, university facilities and many more.

Each project is planned in cooperation and consultation with the client to ensure it runs smoothly. In-house estimating and cost control systems enable Simpson to provide precise and efficient project estimates and reliable work schedules. All subcontractors are carefully selected for relevant experience and competence. Site superintendents monitor construction continuously for adherence to construction and safety standards and project specifications. All concerns or possible complications are addressed immediately.

With over 40 years of construction experience, years of hard work have created a reputation that management and staff can be proud of. Each project is constructed with a long term approach to ensure that clients are satisfied and that each completed project enhances their reputation for future work.
